Financial aid help! on 11/18

The Free Application for Student Aid, or FAFSA, is required for almost every collegiate student. If you are planning on filing it in January but have no idea where to start, join the club.

For anyone looking for help in filing the FAFSA, finding scholarships, or for general questions on financial aid, help has arrived.

On Thursday, November 18th, Fort Morgan High School will be hosting Carol Steward, a Morgan Community College Financial Aid Counselor. Beginning at 7PM, Carol will be in the FM Library answering students’ and parents’ questions on college money options. All things FAFSA will be covered, and any inquiries about financial aid will be answered.

“She’s got a really good Power Point,” stated Mrs. Pogorelz, Counselor. “She’s on her way to Wray tonight to do the same presentation.” Carol Steward’s college prep night is well known across NorthEastern Colorado, attracting 27 people at even the smallest of towns, Wiggins.

If you were planning on attending the opening night of FMHS’ fall musical, Little Shop of Horrors (above), at 7PM on Thursday, there is another FAFSA help night available. Brush High School will be hosting a financial aid night in their auditorium at 7PM on Monday, December 7th. All are welcome to attend.
